She is an adjunct professor and Director of Wound Care Research at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Wound Management. She has been a dedicated wound care advocate for two decades with interests focused on medical education, diabetic foot care, wound care, limb salvage, & clinical research. Dr. Cole has published numerous peer-reviewed and industry articles on these topics and is a sought-after speaker both nationally and internationally.

Dennis P. Deruelle M.D., F.H.M., is Chief Medical Officer at Mendota Health, a national mobile advanced wound-care company. Dr. Deruelle has more than 25 years of hospital medicine and leadership experience. Dr. Deruelle’s previous experience includes Executive Director of Hospital Medicine with American Physician Partners and as Vice President and National Medical Director of BPCI services for TeamHealth.
Dr. Deruelle has been featured on Fox News and a number of national television and radio talk shows, in newspapers and medical journals, and at national healthcare conferences. He also published his second book, “Your Healthcare Playbook: Winning the Game of Modern Medicine,” He is also a professional singer-songwriter in Nashville, TN.

She proudly hales from western Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a Masters in Health Services Administration. As an AAPC-certified coder, auditor and instructor, she currently serves as President for the AAPC Local Chapter. She was also honored to receive a 2022 Rising Star Award from the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. Animal rescue is near and dear to her heart, and she and her husband Michael enjoy their home in the woods with multiple pets.

A former Chair of the Foot Care Council of the American Diabetes Association and Past President of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Frykberg was the 2011 recipient of the prestigious Roger Pecoraro Award from the Foot Care Council of the American Diabetes Association.

Amar Mohan M.D. grew up in GA and is a board certified IM physician with a special interest in geriatric medicine. Dr Mohan is the Founder of Transitional Care Physicians of America (TCP); a multi-practitioner and multi-specialty practice aimed at caring for patients where they live, in their homes. After ten years with the practice he merged TCP with Providence Care and currently acts as the COO managing over 8000 lives and over 120 providers across two states. Dr. Mohan is active within public policy with the Society for Post Acute and Long Term Care and also serves as the Chief of Extended Care Services for Grady Memorial Hospital, a level 1 Trauma center and the largest hospital in Georgia. Dr. Jeffrey Niezgoda has dedicated his professional life to optimizing outcomes in wound healing. Dr. Niezgoda serves as the CMO for Kent Imaging. He is the President and CMO for WebCME, an international educational wound care and hyperbaric company. He is the Past President of the American Professional Wound Care Association and the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine. He is Founder and President Emeritus of AZH Wound & Hyperbaric Center (2015-2021). Dr. Niezgoda was the Hyperbaric Medical Director at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee (1999-2013). Dr. Niezgoda is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy (1981) and received his MD from the Uniformed Services University of Health Science (1985).

Dr. Thomas E. Serena MD FACS FACHM MAPWCA, Founder and Medical Director of The SerenaGroup®, a family of wound, hyperbaric and research companies, is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The College of William and Mary and Penn State Medical School. He completed his residency in Surgery at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with additional year of training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Southern Illinois University. To date he has opened and operates wound care centers across the United Sates and globally. Dr. Serena has been the lead or Principal investigator in over 100 clinical trials, including gene therapy for critical limb ischemia, antimicrobial dressings, growth factors, topical and parenteral antibiotics and CTP therapy. He founded the first wound healing cooperative research group that produced more than 12 manuscripts in 2016 alone. In 2011 he developed a diagnostic technique that now bears his name (The Serena Technique©). He holds numerous patents on wound care devices and dressings.

Sarah has nearly 20 years of healthcare experience, 19 being in cardiovascular medicine. She has spent many years as a provider specializing in amputation prevention from a vascular lense and is now able to broaden her view of amputation prevention from a wound care perspective while also spreading knowledge of vascular disease and early detection. Ultimately, her goal is to ensure patients know to seek second opinions. Encouraging advanced wound care who utilize evidence-based medicine and having a have a vascular specialist who is willing to go the extra mile to prevent amputation. One limb saved=a life saved!

Dr. William H. Tettelbach is actively board-certified in Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Internal Medicine while retaining academic appointments at Duke University School of Medicine and Western University of Health Sciences - College of Podiatric Medicine. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer at RestorixHealth, which includes administrative and clinical oversight of over 260 hospital-affiliated outpatient centers that offer care in both hyperbaric medicine and wound care. His career has been dedicated to teaching providers and improving patients’ lives requiring the services of Hyperbaric Medicine, Advanced Wound Care, and Infectious Diseases. From 2013 to 2018, Dr. Tettelbach was the acting Program Director of the Duke University Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Fellowship program in Salt Lake City, UT. In addition to his clinical obligations, other professional undertakings include acting President of the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) and a member of Noridian’s Contractor Advisory Committee (CAC), which provides guidance in the development of Hyperbaric Medicine, Wound Care, and Infectious Diseases local coverage determinations. He is also a committee member on the CMS Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment & Chair of their Data Sub-Committee.
