Day 1
A welcome to the Big Easy. Review of the agenda. An introduction to the international Post-Acute Wound Society (iPAWS), SerenaGroup and JWC.
Leaders in the mobile wound care will discuss the challenges and opportunities in post-acute care. Audience interaction will be welcomed.
This session will explore the advanced wound care devices and products available in the post-acute setting.
Cellular, Acellular and Matrix-like Products (CAMPS) are a mainstay in the advanced therapy in the PASS. This lecture will detail CAMP use, billing and reimbursement. Dr. Tettelbach will review the evidence from big data.
Mobile wound care is one of the fastest growing areas of healthcare delivery. Mobile Wound Care providers bring the wound care center to the patient's bedside. This session will discuss advanced wound care therapies suited for home use and how to best incorporate these treatments into existing care algorithms.
In this session, we will explore best practices for medical necessity
documentation from a Medicare auditor’s perspective. Topics include common documentation
pitfalls, aligning clinical records with Medicare requirements, strategies to avoid denials, and insights
into the audit process to improve compliance, ensure accurate claim submissions and improve
appeal outcomes.
Three sessions will provide an overview of the diagnostic tools that are essential in the post-acute setting.

In this session Michaela Wadsworth PA-C will present cases from her post-acute practice and discuss the limits of post-acute practice.
The role of debridement is better understood today. Serial debridement separate from Excisional debridement plays an important role in treating chronic wounds. Understanding the application and use in post-acute care is an important adjunct to healing.
There is little or no evidence generated in the post acute setting. Dr. Fyrberg will address real world evidence generation in mobile wound care.
The mobile wound practitioner has limited space in their bag. The panel will discuss how to pack for patient care.
The session will explore the best quality metrics for post-acute practices. In addition, MIPS reporting and quality improvement projects will be reviewed
What is the best EMR for mobile wound care?
This session will provide evidence for topcial oxygen and explore it's potential role in PASS.
The panel will discuss and debate profitability in the PASS
